Expression of Interest - MOICD

The Northern Territory Medicare Local (NTML) is a partnership between Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance Northern Territory (AMSANT), the Northern Territory Department of Health and the former General Practice Network Northern Territory (now the "Associate Membership Committee"). Central to the strategic approach of the NTML is the commitment by all members to embracing the philosophy of comprehensive Primary Health Care (PHC) and driving service delivery improvements that meet the varied needs of the diverse communities that make up the Northern Territory.

The NTML is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified health professionals to deliver medical outreach services to locations and service types of greatest need, on an equitable basis across the Northern Territory.

The outreach services will be provided in urban, rural remote and very remote locations in the territory. Service delivery will focus on the following chronic conditions:
•    Diabetes;
•    Cardiovascular disease;
•    Chronic respiratory disease;
•    Chronic renal (kidney) disease; and
•    Cancer

Organisations and service providers will need to demonstrate cultural competency, competitive sessional fees and willingness to work within operational guidelines set out by Medicare Locals.
